The Droneworxx coding workshop introduces students to the fundamentals of programming through the lens of drone technology. Participants learn how to use code that controls drone movements, navigate obstacle courses, and complete specific missions. The program combines theory with hands-on coding challenges, equipping students with essential skills in logic, problem-solving, and technology. It's a perfect stepping stone for those interested in pursuing careers in software development, robotics, and the broader tech industry.
This Droneworxx piloting workshop not only teaches students the technical skills needed to operate drones but also emphasises the importance of ethical considerations in drone use. Participants learn about privacy concerns, responsible data collection, and adherence to safety regulations, ensuring that they operate drones with respect for others and within legal boundaries. This holistic approach prepares students not only for careers in industries like surveying, filmmaking, and emergency response but also instills a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism in their piloting practices.
This Droneworxx drone engineering workshop provides students with an immersive, hands-on experience in constructing their own drones from scratch. Participants learn about drone components, assembly, and basic electronics while developing key skills in engineering and problem-solving. By the end of the workshop, students not only understand how drones work but also gain practical insights into how technology is shaping future careers in fields like aerospace, robotics, and drone innovation.
The Drone Automation Academy is an immersive, career-focused program designed to introduce students to the world of drone technology through hands-on coding and automation experiences. Through three progressively challenging levels broken down into 5 modules, students will learn the fundamentals of drone automation, gain valuable coding skills, and explore potential careers in the fast-growing drone industry. Each level of the program emphasises real-world applications, allowing students to engage in mission-based learning that mirrors the challenges faced by professionals in the field.
In Drone Automation Academy, students begin by learning block-based coding and progress to Python, providing them with a strong technical foundation that prepares them for advanced drone operations. The academy also emphasises industry role-playing, where students take on specific roles in drone technology—such as test engineers or surveyors—giving them a glimpse into the professional world of drones.
Overview: Students start by learning block-based coding using platforms like Scratch. Through an introduction to drones, automation, and their real-world applications, students get hands-on experience coding drone missions using simulators.
Overview: At this level, students transition to Python, a widely used programming language in the tech industry. They apply Python to automate drone missions, using more complex algorithms and real-time testing.
Overview: Students are introduced to specific roles within the drone industry, such as test engineers, surveyors, or rescue operation coordinators. They complete missions based on real-world scenarios and must adhere to industry standards using a fictional "DWCAA Drone Code" and "Drone Manual."
